With the assembly and setup instructions and safety instructions followed, you should go through the following steps to get The Drift Kart moving:

  • Make sure the go-kart is on level ground and will not move while you are trying to get into the seat. It is preferable to turn the steering wheel to the far left or far right position.
  • Turn the ignition switch on the front right side of the lift to position I, as well as the ground switch located to the right of the seat to position I.
  • Move the choke lever, located at the rear right of the engine, to the “closed” position (lever should point rearward).
  • Start the engine using the manual recoil starter located on the right side of the engine.
  • After the engine starts and runs for between a few seconds and a minute, depending on the air temperature, you can move the choke lever to the “open” position (the lever should point forward).
  • Sit in the seat and fasten your seat belt.
  • By pressing the right pedal, the kart starts to accelerate, and by pressing the left pedal, the brake is activated. The lever to the right of the steering wheel is the handbrake, when pulled towards the pilot, it blocks the rear axle sharply and easily.
  • After driving, turn off the engine using the switch to the right of the seat, unfasten your seat belt and get off the kart. Be careful of potentially hot engine and brake components.

Warning: Due to the low level of traction on the rear axle, the handling of The Drift Kart is specific and some people may experience initial difficulties in handling.
